Reflection and assessment

Today's agenda:
- Skills inventory
- Your strengths and weaknesses
- Future projects
No coding today! Instead, I would like you to take 15 minutes and reflect on your experience this semester. This exercise is similar to the "debriefings" that many firms use at the end of a major project. Before moving on to the next project, we take a moment to consolidate what we have learned from our previous work.
[I would also like you to submit your course evaluations if you have not done so yet.]
Skills inventory
Insert a markdown cell and make a few notes about skills you have acquired this semester. For some of you, the list might start with "fundamental python knowledge." What kinds of figures can you make? What analytic tools do you have?
Strengths and weaknesses
Don't think of this like those annoying hiring-interview questions.
Interviewer: Tell me about a weakness of yours.
Interviewee: I work too hard.
Think about this as an inventory of things you did well in class and things you need to practice more. No one else is reading this but you!
Insert a markdown cell and list a few things you aced a few things that need more work.
Future projects
Insert a markdown cell and make a few notes about things that piqued your interest this semester. Did you find some interesting data that you have not had a chance to look through? Are there other skills you would like to learn? Did a topic come up that you would like to follow up on? How would version 2.0 of your course project look?
If you already have an ideas journal, you should write your ideas down there instead of here!
